In a world just a little different from our own, in China, the noble classes were entrusted with controlling the spiritual as well as mortal realms. Each clan had its cultivators, powerful men and women who had powers soothe, fight, or even banish spiritual beings that encroached into the physical world.

Wei Wuxian was not so lucky to as been born a noble, but had the very good luck to be born the son of a clan leader's best friend. When his father died, Wei Wuxian was raised by that clan leader, gaining status, training, and two of the very best siblings in the whole world.

He also gained a whole heap of trouble that wouldn't have befallen a common man. It really isn't his fault. He swears.

Description:
Wei Wuxian a slim man of noble bearing, though more given to smiles and laughter than many of his peers. He tends to wear his hair half-up and tied with a bright red ribbon, and is prone to dressing in black robes with red lining. Most often he'll have a flute with him - right now it is a simple flute, made of bamboo, and carved in a hurry.

Abilities:
Wei Wuxian has fairly impressive sword skills, though he is usually without his sword. He tends to use his flute to block blows if cornered into a sword fight, though that tends to be all defense.
If he plays his flute (and later, as he becomes more skilled, if he whistles) he can use energy from resentful spirits to fight - while his usual aim is usually to disarm or contain a foe, he has a vicious streak when it comes to revenge. He is also skilled at using talismans both in fighting, and for other uses such as spying and protection.

He's also not bad at growing lotus roots, if he does say so himself.
